Asaggio Italian Restaurant, Kailua

As far as Italian food goes I am not going to say they have a truly Italian menu. As far as good food and outstanding service goes I am going to say this restaurant is on the mark. The ceaser salads are to die for and the steak is out of this world. So, if you want good food at a reasonable price I say this is the place, however, if you are looking for some good Italian red sauces and Italian country cuisine this may not be your first stop.

We love going to Assaggio's. Great food and the waitstaff is friendly, BUT they could lose the bitchy hostesses they always seem to hire to greet their guests. First impressions are important....

We love Assagios and go there monthly. The service is excellent (except for the hostesses, who tend to be very bratty). The food is great - we love their sauce and their chicken sausage is the best.

Visitors to the restaurant might be interested to know that Assaggio decorates using original art from local artists in Kailua. This means that you can not only get a great Italian meal, but you can pick up some wonderful original art from local artists at a great price.

Although I am unable to rate the food, this is a restaurant I wouldn't go to due to the hostess' nasty attitude over the phone.

Just went to Assagio's Kailua 2 days ago, and was googling it to see the menu again - and was surprised to see a few not-so-nice comments about the place. I've lived in Kailua for 8 years, and go to Assagio's a couple of times a year and it has never let me down. From attentive, friendly wait staff, to very nice surroundings (don't know what the Idaho review about the unclean bathrooms could possibly be talking about - maybe they went somewhere else???), to outstanding food, Assagio's is great!
