Blue Moon Cafe
Located in a small business center just behind the Tesoro gas station along Piilani Highway, area locals flock to this small cafe in Kihei for everything from coffee to sandwiches. The decor is more functional than decorative and the service is island casual. The menu features a selection of plates with two scoops of rice and macaroni salad, sandwiches, burgers and more. Free parking is abundant, and regularly scheduled specials like kids eat free nights take place often. - Lottie Tagupa
I decided to try this place out a few weeks ago to see if the food and service was any good. I ordered the Shoyu Chicken lunch plate with a side of Potato Salad. The food tasted amazing and was perfectly cooked. I have been coming back week after week and still have not been dissapointed. Definitely a gem considering the poor location away from street traffic but as long as you try the food you will keep coming back!
WOW, this place is a hidden Gem! Do not let the negative review fool you, we recently had a reunion here with about 17 of us and it was wonderful, we even had the oppertunity to meet the owner, the food and service was wonderful, we were treated like family! The meomories, the wonderful meal's we had, all very good, a must visit place when you are on Maui, the price's are good compaired to the tourist places' everyone tent to go, so go off the beaten path and you will see it's worth it, I find hidden places all over the world and this place is one of them! Bravo to the BlueMoon Cafe!!
First day as a resident of Maui I stumbled upon this restaurant. It was wonderful - food and service. The lady who waited on me brought me a strawberry papaya from her own garden after overhearing a cell phone conversation where I said I hadn't eaten in 18 hours. This is probably a hidden gem in Kihei area but I shall return.
Me and my three friends had the pleasure of eating at this wonderful establisehment and was very impress with the breakfast the first day that we came back the very next morning. the young lady that waited on us surprised us with mango that she had grown in her own yard that was out ot this world. I fell in love with the portugese sasauge, my boyfriend has been looking all over for it. We will dine at the cafe' again on our next visit to Maui.
The name of this restaurant is enough of a mouthful to be a meal in itself—many people shorten it to
"Humuhumu." Aside from its name, the restaurant has also received high acclaim for its delicious seafood and its setting. ...
It has been around for ages, but this mall seems to be going through a hibernation period. (As any retailer
will tell you, this is normal for a Maui mall.) Currently it is home to a few restaurants, notably ...
It's easy to confuse this center with the Kihei Commercial Center, also located off the Pi'ilani Highway in South Kihei.
The store at this center that gets the most traffic is probably Maui Clothing Outlet. Its two sister stores, ...
