Teshima's Restaurant, Kealakekua

This family-run Japanese restaurant is a South Kona landmark. Grandma Teshima, the original proprietor, is over a hundred years old. This small, family-friendly eatery is a special place that still retains that old-time, iconic atmosphere that is the foundation of flavorful and well-done traditional Japanese cuisine. The menu includes pork tofu served in an iron kettle, shrimp tempura along with Okinawan potato tempura, misoyaki butterfish and tasty miso soup.
