I love this place! I've eaten at many Thai restaurants in Hawaii and on the mainland. This is the best. Friendly service and fair prices. My fav is Spring Rolls with lettuce wraps, Panang Chicken (Thai-Hot) with Thai Ice Tea.
My family loves going out to eat, specially thai food. out of all the thai restaurants we've been to, I think this one is the best!
my fav dishes are sweet sour fish, sticky rice, yellow chicken curry, chicken satay, cashew nut beef, honey beef, cashew nut chicken, and the spring rolls.
Friendly service, great authentice food!
I recommend going there :)
I order Tom Yum and it had no flavor. Everyone seemed nice, but I would have to recommend going to Souvaly's in Pearl City...if you don't mind the drive. Since I only live a block away, sometime I just cave in and buy something fom Chao Phya. I just wish the food was better.
Just ok. I love Thai food, and perhaps have been to some very authentic places including SE Asia. This place is really ok for a suburban Thai place. Have been there twice as my family in the area loves the place. My only comment, the curries are not especially hot or flavorful. Lots of coconut andpeanut sauce. I ordered basil chicken which is normally a minced chnicken with basiI -- a very distinctive dish. I could not tell the difference of this and another chicken curry. Lots of coconut milk. I think this is what the customer base wants. But, lacked in intricate Thai flavors and differences in the different dishes I asked for hot and the food did not register at all. The Pod Thai is really good. They call it Newspaper noodles. The staff are very friendly and hospitable. The owner is a charming lady and makes all feel welcome. Most customers are regulars. The decor is really nice. I guess I am used to small, hole-i the-wall places with overwhelmingly spice and authentic Thai flavors. I am sure there are some great ones on Oahu and even in Kaneohe. When I mentioned that the food was average to my famly who live here, they were shocked and disagreed as they like the food this way. Oh well, will keep looking. Again, this place is really ok and a great place for a family gathering. Bring your own booze.
These guys are really good at what they do. My favourites are the sticky rice, yellow curries, garlic shrimp, satay chicken but above all... meat or veggie spring rolls. I love it that they come with fresh mint and you wrap it up. The manager is sooo friendly and funny and you feel like oyu are eating in a thai family's house. Great value! Definately recomend it to a friend.
