Good sushi prepared to order - one of the better places to here in Kihei. This includes a number of original rolls, etc. Sit at the sushi bar for some extra attention. Do note that they get busy, so get their early or get a reservation.

Very family friendly, excellent sushi, very reasonable prices. Make a reservation. Go for the sashimi or simple sushi versus the rolls as the fish is so fresh it's better to avoid too much complication.

Very flavorful and unique. Loved the Sansei Mango Crab Salad and Spider Rolls. Love the Thai kick to the sushi. The produce (mango, salad, sprouts) was very fresh. Service was quick and friendly.

Jason must be in-love with one of the waitresses or related to the Owners...cause this is place is just mediocre! And...only if you like that kind of food.

over-rated!!! The karaoke part was ok. Food was ok. Service was poor. Except for the sushi person making our sushi. If you are looking for a late snack and entertainment in Maui, this is an ok spot to hang out if you don't have any other alternatives during that time. But there are better places to than this in Lahaina and Kihei.

This is a new style fusion restaurant with consistently long waits. The food is allright, but I am not sure what all the hubbub is about. I had the udon noodles with beef medallions. It was pretty good actually, the cheese being an unusual and fairly good tasting twist on a classic asian dish. The sashimi, toro and unagi, was very old and not very palatable. The ambience of the place seemed to be more directed towards meeting people and drinking than fine dining. The waitstaff did not appreciate our ordering non-alcoholic drinks, which is understandable since they work on tips. I would recommend this place in a pinch as some of the fusion style dishes are unique and worth a try, but I am not sure why there is a line for tables every night.

The sushi here is the epitome of asian dinning in south Maui. Fish is very fresh, tasty, and the quality is near flawless. The service can be a little better. It takes a while to make an order, takes even longer to receive it. Great sushi and great value. Be sure to be there on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays after ten PM for the fifty percent off discount of everything on the menu. Sansei is a mix of Japanese/Hawaiian food....I live here in Maui and it's the best food you will ever get - tourist / local...whatever..it's just amazing. Try the Panko Crusted Ahi Tuna Roll, or the Rock Shrimp Cakes. Everything comes with amazing presentation and your tastebuds will be asking for more :)
