Ruth's Chris Steak House (Maui - Lahaina)), Lahaina

Don't waste your money. Ordered the special 3 courses for what seemed to be a reasonable price. However, the food was mediocre. The steak was full of butter. To me there is enough fat in the steak and I didn't like the steak. The whole reason I went to the resturant was for the steak. Service was good.

Every year my family visits Maui and we always make a point of doing a Ruth's Chris outing. The service has always been decent but it's the food and the location you come for. The steaks are the best you can get anywhere and even though a dark wood pannelled decor seems like it shouldn't be on Front Street, it's a nice change from the other restaurants that seem to have the exact same menus. How many ways can you do Mahi Mahi anyway? Prices are not cheap but when you have your first bite of a sizzling steak in butter, prices seem irrelevant.

All I wanted was a nice, simple dinner with my girlfriend to celebrate our relationship on lovely Maui. This ended up being the worst dining experience I ever had in my entire life. It took over an hour for part of my meal to arrive (which I clearly stated twice when our waiter was taking orders). We watched our waiter pass us many times for other customers who arrived much later than we had. When the food I requested finally arrived, it was of sub-standard quality, and our extremely rude and suspicious waiter gave us a very uncomfortable feeling like we were not worth his time. The best part of the whole experience was the kind and courteous bus boy. I felt like a fool for even having the idea of having a romantic dinner with my girlfriend, and wasted $100 on food I could have heated in a microwave (and in much quicker time). I have a recommendation for you, Ruth's Chris in Lahaina: Fire that buffoon of a waiter and replace him with that bus boy. I should never have left a tip, or even paid at all. And neither should any other potential customer who has to suffer that kind of humiliation and disappointment.

Simple decor, yet perfect food and service. Hard to beat Maui in any way. The sunset view was unmatchable; the steak, garlic mashed potatoes and au gratin broccoli, divine. EVERYTHING was Great, Ruth's Chris of Maui!
