unfortunatly, there are very few places to eat breakfast in the hilo area, and that is why this place is so busy. the food is bad, the restaurant is very dirty, and the food is expensive for what you get----the service is ok. we were in hilo are for a month and ate there once and would never go back to ken's house of pancakes!

Always busy, hard to get a parking space during mealtimes, add rain and you can swim to the front door... otherwise, the food is good, hot, service is usually outstanding, prices are decent... specials are usually exceptional. You have to visit Ken's when in Hilo!
