Not what we were expecting!
After reading reviews on several websites, and looking at the lodge's website, we were expecting something a bit more scenic, and certainly more comfortable! When we called for the reservation we were promised a room over looking the river, but weren't told that the only room available for people traveling w/ a dog looks out to the huge patio full of after-rafting partiers! Additionally, the public restrooms for all those rafters were right next door to our room! There were long lines for the restrooms for most of the afternoon and evening. Really not pleasant. Anyway, things quieted down after 9pm or so, and we had a nice dinner in their restaurant and enjoyed the river from there. Although this is one of the few hotels on the North Shore which allows dogs, I wouldn't recommend staying here unless you plan on being one part of the party on the deck and have a higher tolerance for bathroom lines outside your door than we do!
