This is the only place to go -- especially for breakfast!! You might have to wait a few minutes for seating in this delightful, wonderful, small, busy restaurant -- but it is worth the wait!!
The food is plentiful, delicious, and inexpensive in comparison to the proportions. The staff is a hustling-bustling smiling friendly lot with a polished expertise providing you an unhurried dining experience despite the packed tables and counter seats!
Make it a MUST on your eating list of places to check out. Once you have been there - you'll be back again, and again -- like we were.

I always make sure to have at least one breakfast here whenever I visit Lake Tahoe. he food it great and the service friendly. Be warned! You may have to wait for a table ( but not for long). And it is well worth the short wait. The Breakfasts fill you up as do their 1/3 lb. and 1/2 lb. burgers. M-mmmmmm!
Their Waffles served with fresh fruit are Outstanding!
Not much parking in front, but there's more in the rear.
One Caveat... Take CASH. They don't take checks or credit cards.

When traveling along Highway 50 looking for a place to eat the Red Hut Waffle Shop called out to us as the parking lot was full and it looked like a local favorite.
We weren't dissapointed. The cafe appears much like it did in 1959 when it was founded and the food was delicious. The service was fast and friendly for a crowded restaurant. The breakfasts are classic fare with daily specials, on our visit it was waffles with fresh fruit toppings. The burgers looked delicious as well as we watched them come out of the kitchen.
Great food, great atmosphere.
Great little tiny restaurant on Kingsbury Grade near Heavenly Resort. The burgers are huge and come with a large mound of fries! SOOOO yummy.
It is a small building though, so large groups probably should call ahead.
