Located in the center of Tahoe City , this restaurant offers superb dining. It has earned rave reviews by the Los Angeles Times , Wall Street Journal and Bon Appetit , just to name a few. The menu revolves around the changing seasons and the availability of fresh ingredients. The entrees include pork, lamb and seafood. The food is fresh and creative; try the pan roasted gnocchi with duck confit.

View is stunning but food disappoints and is not worth the price. Ingredients are mediocre, dishes lack creativity, and execution is dismal. It appears that management is resting on the laurels of a previous good chef and doesn't care about customer satisfaction. Have a glass of wine, take in the view, and eat at Wolfdale's down the street.

After the poured my Schrader cab in chlorine flavoured glasses they still charged me corkage

Fantastic food (including the best chile relleno I've ever had), fantastic views, attentive but unaffected service, and a great wine cellar add up to an experience that has yet to disappoint. A clear and strong second to Plumpjack in the area.
