Simply wonderful

Good taste of shiraz, filet mignon and scalloped potatoes are my favorites. This is such a nice place to relax. Great tasting food.

Very overrated. The food was bland, over-sauced and unimaginative; service was OK and the restaurant was very cold (I visited in June). Definitely not worth the money.

Over rated food. Mediocre service (with pompous attitude). Uncomfortable chairs and dining room setting (drafty and akward). For a restaurant that thinks of itself as the best in Tahoe, this place was a huge disappointment. There are many better spots in the South Tahoe area. Avoid this one.

Best restaurant at Lake Tahoe, and a fabulous place for special occasion meals. Small enough for repeat customers to become known to the owners and staff, and dedicated to presenting amazing food that always tastes as great as it looks.

Probable new owners but won't admit it. When told on tasting wine it was not right waiter said" You expect me to open a new bottle of wine to taste. I can't keep opening bottles of wine for you to try."

A converted Victorian like home where you expect mom to come out of the kitchen. About the only gourmet stop on the southside of Lake Tahoe. Booking essential!

Evans was excellent. My husband and I made a reservation after reading online reviews and we were not disappointed. I had the chicken, which was amazing, and he had the fillet mignon special, which he raved about. The portions are generous, so next time we would opt to skip soups or salad and save room for dessert!
