Cafe Fiore Italian Restaurant, South Lake Tahoe

Very quaint. Great food. I had an appetizer with mushrooms that was excellent- and I don't even like mushrooms. Lamb chops were superb! Will definitely be back. Make a reservation- only a few tables in there

My girlfriend and I went here when we were visiting Lake Tahoe and we were just delighted by this place. It's small (7 tables), cozy and intimate. The staff was friendly and helpful and the food and wine was excellent.

It does only have 7 tables. Very quaint, very quiet, service is almost personalized. Its in a quiet part of South Lake Tahoe, easy to find and easy to park.

We had dinner here for our first wedding anniversary. What a romantic place! The food is delicious-I had melt-in-your-mouth Filet, and my husband had Halibut. We had a great bottle of wine, and finished the dinner off with their homemade white chocolate ice cream which was to die for. The service is first class. We will be back for sure, and tell everyone we know to go also.

Cafe Fiore has been our favorite romantic restaurant for years. We travel extensively for our work and dine out frequently but Cafe Fiore still keeps coming in first place! The homemade white chocolate ice cream with fresh strawberries is always the perfect finish for a fabulous meal.

Cafe Fiore is a quaint restaurant (7 tables indoors; 5 additional outdoor tablesduring the warm season) with great ambiance. The food was above average but not excellent (being from the SF Bay Area I am admittedly - and ashamedly - a food snob). The service was average. The value was average as well. BUT the wine list was extensive and amazing and at least one of the wait staff was very knowledgeable and helpful with regard to our wine selection (a 1998 Stags Leap Fay Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon - yummy!) - it clearly wasn't a Wine Spectator award winner (albeit 2004) for nothing. All said and done, we would go back. So far the other best in Tahoe that we have been to are: Evans (upscale), Rivas Grill (good food, good service, nice lake view) and Naked Fish Sushi (the ONLY good sushi in South Lake).

Cafe Fiore is the perfect date restaurant. The food is wonderful and the service is consistent. Don't miss the strawberries and ice cream with a bottle of champagne for two. But by all means try to get a table inside. Sitting outside feels like you are dining in a parking lot.

My husband and I went here for our anniversary a few years ago and was just thrilled. The small intimate atmosphere was perfect. The food was so delicious and served by a great waiter; He knew when to approach and when to stay away from our table. He just had a knack for his job. When he found out it was our anniv., he brought us free homemade vanilla ice cream which was to die for. If I lived in the area, I would make it a routine to go there for dinner, at least once a week.
