Located in the Puainako Shopping Center, this local spot is a favorite for many in the Hilo area because it has something for everyone. Area workers gather after the daily grind to order pupu and cold beer during pau hana (happy hour). During the early evenings, it's not unusual to see local families gathering for weekend dinners and family time. The menu is distinctly Japanese. Teriyaki beef, tempura and even a tasty cold ika miso salad are all very well prepared. However, it's the desserts that are fabulous. Everything from creme brulee to an assortment of pies are made on-site.
