Hailed by some as the finest healthy gourmet in Hawaii, this cozy little cottage cafe is a favorite among visitors and locals alike. It offers fusion cuisine with an emphasis on seafood and vegetarian options. Customer service is another specialty of the quaint cafe, and staff members will see to it that guests feel at home in the vintage-style dining room. Though there is no lunch, breakfast is served until the late morning hours every day. The casually elegant spot takes on a more formal atmosphere during dinner hours. Blackened ahi is one of the more popular entrees; taro fritters are a distinctly local pupu and well worth sampling.
Love the charming cottage atmosphere; you feel like you're in a home. It's both romantic and cozy. The food has been consistently good for many years. My favorites are the seafood specials. My husband loves the salmon rockets and the Caesar salad that can be ordered with blackened ahi (yum). And their desserts are light but wonderful. One chocolate pie is vegan and it's much better than you would expect. We hope they stay in business forever!
I have been to Kauai at least ten times and never had gone to Postcards. To my surprise it was very good. The menu was different sort of vegetarian with a lot of thought for people who eat healthy. I would eat at Postcards again.
This restaurant advertises itself as a vegetarian restaurant. There were only 2 entrees that were vegetarian....both were terrible! This is my second trip to Kauai. I ate at Postcards 3 years ago and loved it. This time it was terrible. The food was not good, everything was overpriced, and we saw our waiter maybe 3 times....take the order, bring food, and give us the bill. I will not be going back.
