For not being a Thai, I think the food was excellent. Food was fresh and very flavorful. Friendly service and good ambience. Will definitely go back.

If you are in the South Lake Tahoe area, you MUST go to Orchids. I am a local and family eats here frequently. The food is flavorful and the prices are reasonable. We have never ordered anything we haven't enjoyed!!!

The funny thing is, I'm not a picky eater. I love just about anyfood..But you kind of have in mind thai food as spicey, sweet, sour, and salty when u eat at a thai restaurant..Whatever I ordered was horrible!!! It was basically a bad impression of chicken noodle soup as bland as can be..Not only this,,the service was horrible..I expected a smile from somebody, nope, except for the farang waitress who didn't even take my order. I took 3 bites of the food, and that was that..I told the staff this is not what I ordered, asked if I was done with this dish..Oh you bet I was..Done with this restaurant..the sad thing is I'm moving to this area and had good hopes for this restaurant. Blah,,Wrong..Looks like I will try the other thai restaurant in town,,if not any good there. Looks like I will be making my own thai dishes..
