A bit over priced, but the food is not bad. The service is slow - i hate that. The Fondue we had was pretty authentic - I've been to Switzerland a few times and I should know. Just wish they had a few more authentic choices to go with it - like the little potato's or more veggie's - we hate bread. The atmosphere is too dark. They need an upgrade. RibChamp!!

Good, not great. Different, not boring. And tasty, not bland as Swiss food tends to be. We started with the raclette appetizer and then had the house special, St. Moritz Wiener schnitzel. With a very nice bottle of wine, the bill came to $115. The spaetzle is really tasty but done a bit differently with a lot of cheese and bacon instead of straight butter. Good service. Recommended to others and I would return. Saw none of the problems pointed out by previous reviewers.

I always sit at the bar with friends and share fondue. Over the years I've tried some of the other food and have found the place to be solid, but not exceptional. It does have plenty of character and I've never had a complaint about the service or cleanliness.

Not a warm nice place a very intense feeling of unhappy employee's.A Hitler atmosphere,I felt very sad.Clearly not a dining experience I would reccomend. That building need's to be blessed!!I just want'ed to leave, and enjoy a nice vacation at Lake Tahoe If there was one thing that was nice at all,Gary was a professional I would certainly hire him at the Cliff HOUSE.

this was the best german food i have had in a long time. their house dressing (creamy tarragon) was the best i have ever had. i HIGHLY recomend this restaurant to anyone wanting to try erman food

This has been a favorite of ours for 20 years. We travel here every year for our anniversary. Their St. Moritz schnitzel is unique and outstanding.

Great as usual

My family have been going to the Swiss Chalet for decades enjoying their beef and cheese fondue. We've also been recommending the restaurant to friends for just as long with positive feedback. Another side note is their dressing which back in the day we used to knock on the kitchen door and see if it was avail. Now we order or pick-up to take back to San Diego. Great Food!!!
