Nihon Restaurant & Cultural, Hilo

Nihon Restaurant is located across the street from the fish auction house and adjacent to the Liliuokalani Park. This landmark restaurant is certainly noteworthy for its wonderful views of Hilo Bay, but it's a standout when it comes to the tastiest and freshest sushi, and the most authentic teishoku this side of Tokyo. The free parking lot fills up on Fridays when the locals crowd this place, and often times you'll see large weddings, birthday parties and celebrations being held here on Saturdays.
