Fire Sign Cafe, Tahoe City

My husband Garland & I had a jewelry store next door called Tahoe Charlie's back in 1989 to 1990 & we would eat their lunch sandwiches almost every day. I LOVED their Club which had brussel sprouts which I had never had before that. To this day, I have never forgotten, nor will I ever forget the wonderful sandwiches, people & memories from Firesign!!! MISS YOU ALL!!!! Michelle

This cafe is very cozy and we enjoyed the view. We also enjoyed walking along the lake afterwards under the beautiful sunshine. The breakfast is very good. We really liked Fire Sign and will come back the next time we are in town.

My husband (then fiance) used to go there as a kid for breakfast. We rode up there on our bike from Reno, and getting to see the lake and scenery was enough to make the day, then the Cafe just made for a perfect place to stop for a good meal. The environment was like a cozy cabin, where you can eat either inside or outside on the patio. We sat by the window, so we got a little bit of both! I had the best and biggest avocado and potato omelette ever!

My friend and I stopped here for lunch while passing through town. The place was full of customers, but we still got seated right away. I ordered a turkey sandwich and asked for a cup of soup rather than the chips and salsa that came with it, and they didn't charge extra. I enjoyed every bite. My friend had the veggie eggs benedict and raved about it. Now we're just trying to find an excuse to go back and try something else on the menu.

My wife and I spent a long weekend in the area in Nov. 06, traveling from MI. We dropped by and have a delightful lunch. My wife had a Rueben and I had Grilled Kielbassa. The food, service and atmosphere were great!

Best breakfast on the Lake (and maybe lunch too). Everything is fabulous. Can be a wait when they are busy but worth it.
