Blue Onion Catering, Kings Beach

After a week of vacationing in beautiful Kings Beach, the whole family packed up and headed to the Blue Onion (recommended to us) for a parting breakfast. The menu looked really nice, but that was about it. Our drinks were never refilled, the food took way too long, and the worst part was that they didn't care. Out of 12 breakfasts, only 3 were satisfactory. The crepes were hideous, eggs overcooked, the bacon almost raw. My daughters' pancakes were tough as a potholder. The waitress didn't show much emotion when we explained nor did she offer to correct anything. The manager said there hadn't been a complaint in almost two years and when we said we wouldn't be back, he simply said, "Good". DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Go elsewhere for a 13.00 breakfast if you want to be treated like that.

Last Saturday, August 18th, three of sat down at approximately 10:30! We were ignored until one of us ask a passing waitress if she "might" be ours. She nodded yes and returned 10 minutes later. One of our party ordered a"double"!. That was met with a huge sigh of disgust. It came in another 10 to 15 minutes. At this point, one of us got up to speak to the manager..."None today, they said in the golf shop. We were ready to just get up when the food arrived cold...not even close to warm. We gave up, paid the bill and scratched the Blue Onion off our list. We have had wonderful food and service in previous visits, but who needs to take a chance????

Stopped in for a late breakfast with family and 2 year old daughter. The restaurant was not busy. We were seated promptly. After about 10 minutes, our waitress took our order. We had to point to everything, as she was not a native English speaker. No big deal. After an hour, we still had not been served. Walked by kitchen and witnessed a waitress throwing out moldy bread, but keeping the rest of the loaf. Another waitress took a drink out of someone's soda at the next table before she gave it to the customer. We left at that point, and the waitress got very angry. After explaining to her that we had a child and it had been over an hour, she acknowledged that they had yet to start our order in the kitchen. Ended up at McDonalds, sadly. I can't review the food, as we never got any, but it was the worst service I've ever had anywhere.

We ate here recently and had HORRIBLE service. Our waitress was rude and her and another waitress were arguing in front of everyone. To bad because the food was great (once our order was corrected).

6 of us waited and hour to be seated for breakfast (not that busy). Never offered coffee, and our meals were slow in coming. Two meals were never served. When questioned the waitress said there was a mistake and it was our fault. Never apologized or brought the meals. McDonalds would have been a better choice. Have Never had such terrible service.

...no idea if the food is any good though because we left after an hour & 15 minutes of waiting for lunch to arrive. Our waitress decided to hide from us, instead of giving us some reason for the delay. When we finally decided to leave, I tracked down the manager and explained why. The manager did not appreciate that we had waited so long during an average lunch, for no apparrant reason, and rather than value my feedback, he angrily demanded "so, you want us to just WASTE ALL THAT FOOD?"
