I eat there all the time. it is very nice!! we have friends that take out of town guest to dinner and lunch. love it. and the specials they have you can not miss out on. come on 2 new york dinners for $23.00 bucks. or all you can eat pasta for 8.00 someone is just having a problem,,, and needs to get a grip and learn how to spell!!!
very disapointed we went on a fri night and the place was like a mortgue! and it took them 10 min to seat us half the place was dark! we ate ny steaks they were ok very pricey(25.00 each) for what you get and salad or soup 2.50 extra? ive never had to pay extra before any where else? small portions, dennys or black bear is way cheaper and better and the help is much friendlier and our waitress was complaing to another guest about how the place has gone down hill. we thought we try to stay local and give it another chance since the new ownership but never I will go back. maxwell better and cheaper and nicer atmosphere the owners perfer to stay in the bar area and mingle with their buddies very rude looked right at them said hi and no response?? i asked the waitress if its alwasy this slow she said yes? so i asked why the high prices its not a fancy place she said its scarred the customers away!!
We recently had a very delicious dinner, and today a lunch, and not one complaint on the food or service! The steaks were tender and juicy, and the new spring salad was to die for. Save a trip to Chico, you can get a wonderful steak or seafood dinner right here in Willows!
Christmas nightmare! Went on December 27, 2008. It took 45 minutes for the first water to reach our table. 1 hour for drink and appetizer orders to be taken. 1.5 hours for waitress to take the main order. We went to the bar to order drinks because waitress disappeared for over an hour. Tables around us were clearing their own tables. Food arrived after we had been sitting for 3 hours. One chicken dish was missing. We looked around, but there was no waitress. By this time, other customers had enough and walked out. I walked outside to cool off and I saw the missing waitress and one of the owners returning with a bag of chicken from the grocery store across the street. Not sure how sanitary or legal that was? The waitress joked around, that she had to get some shopping done. We weren't amused! Three of us ordered the porter house steak. After the first couple bites, we all tasted something different. It tasted like fuel. I assume they tried to lite the bbq with lots of fuel, while the steaks were on the grill. I know a good steak and anyone knows when they are eating liter fluid. Horrible! The owner who cooked the steaks, came to the table and informed us that he cooked them with mesquite and there was nothing wrong with them. He argued with us that they were $26.00 each and we were going to pay for them. He took one of the steaks back to the kitchen and he never returned. Another 20 minutes and the waitress who barely existed, gave us the check and said the owner was taking the steaks off our bill. I went home angry and with an upset stomach. 3 out of 6 people felt stomach illness, after visiting Pat and Larry's Steakhouse in Willows, CA. This place has gone through a lot of changes, but this was by far the worst experience I had there or any restaurant anywhere.
Well, its itsn't that great and not much more can be said. I've eaten there twice, and neither time was I very much impressed. They don't have a large menu so if you don't like their ten basic dishes you're out of luck.... The steak is good, and that's about all I'd recommend there. Service is good, though, the people are nice, it's just the food that could use some work.
