33rd Street Bistro

Description

33rd Street Bistro is an upscale eatery which is usually packed with locals. The trendy diner decor and menu created by Chef Fred Haines have turned brunch into an especially popular event. The spinach salad with citrus shallot dressing comes highly recommended. Try the roast chicken sandwich on focaccia bread for a quick lunch. For dessert, the Bistro's chocolate martini offers a unique alternative to ice cream. Fruit-packed berry pancakes highlight the daily breakfast menu.

I don't live locally to this place, but a friend turned me onto it around 5 years ago. Anytime I am driving thru on 80, I stop here for their fantastic panini sandwiches.

Love this Bistro. Vegetarian food-any place that has veg food is amazing in my book. Plus even if you're not a veg, you'll totally love this bistro!

Consistently Great Taste
By ,
Love the way the food tastes. Menu is minimal, but everything I've sampled has always had a taste of quality ... Not just the same old thing. I particularly love the Oregon Blue Cheese Salad! Service and Ambiance are also top notch. Only complaint, the 33rd Street location can be noisy (like alot of places these days). Always a winner for friends and family when they come to town.

Desert Menue
By ,
I love this place the only thing I would like to see is different dessert menue. I would like to see more variaty of European dessert. Most of the time I eat there but for dessert, I go some where else.

Good neighborhood hangout
By ,
This bistro has variety and quality and doesn't try to be more than it is. There's something for everyone (salads, pizzas, xlnt french onion soup, entrees) and the atmosphere is just right: casually elegant, not too hip. Great for taking your parents when they come to town, and for everyday dining. You can go solo and sit at the counter and not feel like a geek. Good brunches, too.

Just what I was looking for
By ,
I'm from Grass Valley, and was entertaining my sister from out of town on the way back to the airport. I was looking for some sort of sidewalk cafe/bistro. My son recommended the 33rd St Bistro. What a plesant suprise. The atmosphere was great, the wine fantistic, the food wonderful, all topped off with marvelous service. I highly recommend the Bistro. PS The deserts wern't too bad either.

It puts a smile on my face thinking about it!
By ,
Great experience, always recommend it to others, the price is fair,it's great! I was greeted by a huge friendly smile, sat right away, and the food was quick to follow. The food was different and tasty. My server Michelle, was very friendly and took care of my every need. It is perfect for dates and for hanging out with the locals that frequent the bistro. It makes you feel like your family.
