This is a fine dining restaurant offering a romantic atmosphere, jazz music and plenty of opportunities to dance. The menu features California cuisine with Asian and Italian influences. Start your meal with a wide array of appetizer choices (called Nibbles on the menu). Entrees range from familiar choices like Grilled New York Steak to more unique fare, such as the House Made Chicken Curry Ravioli. After dinner, enjoy live music and dancing or venture upstairs to the MoMo Lounge for cool drinks in a classy setting.
We attended the Crystal Bowersox show on Friday night and the music and Crystal were fantastic. It was our first time at Harlow s and we don t know if we would ever go back. They should have been more honest about the show being standing room only for the most part. There were a few reserved seating areas. The show was advertised as all general admission with no mention that it was standing. We had even called and tried to make dinner reservation and was told they were not serving dinner but still no mention of the show being standing room only. It took over twenty minutes just to get a drink. If the music had not been so good, the evening would have been a total bust. Crystal saved the evening with a great show. We will definintely go see her again, just not at Harlow s.
I loved that they had an outdoor area that was a little more low key with some nice tables and an outdoor bar. There were two bartenders that were exceptional with there service and there drinks. The first was named josh, he was working at the bar inside; and the other , named camille, was manning the outdoor bar. They both gave great drink suggestions and there friendly attitude made me feel great for choosing to go to harlows that night. I had a great time with my friends here and will be going back . I unfortunately lost my keys that night and the staff at harlows were extremely helpful in helping me look for my keys. I didnt find them, sadly, but I was great that the whole staff helped me look for them. I just wanted to share my wonderful experience at harlows hoping it will bring more people in to this great place.
bartenderme.com is an awesome website that promotes the nightlife industry and its people who work and enjoy sharing it. If your ever in downtown Sac, come to Harlow's for some of the best live music in the area. They have a nice stage, great bar, and a welcoming atmosphere. bartenderme.com supports Harlow's business.
I was up in Sacramento for the weekend 5/30/09 and remembered last time I was at Harlow's it was good, but things have changed. I don't know if it was just this night, but I left after 45 minutes of nonstop terrible music. Why is it that today's DJ with their Apple laptop and Ipods think they're Artist that create wonderful sounds and jacking up great music from the past. It was past 11pm and not one person was dancing...Bailed from that hole and hit a club called either Mix or The Mix and they played the original music like Michael Jackson and record companies like SONY know more than Mr. Ipod DJ of what sounds good. ( The floor was packed )
Excellent live music, eclectic crowd, good cocktails, lively but not rowdy like alot of the other clubs in Sac. Definitely recommend this club for an upscale night out with either a group of friends or your significant other.
After dropping about $250 for a VIP booth and a bottle, we had to wait over 45 minutes while the waitress served others before receiving our mixers and vodka. We asked to speak with management and this is where the real problem began. We were insulted and treated awful BY THE MANAGEMENT. We asked for the owners name and were told that they did not feel like giving that information out. If you want a good time, don't go to this place. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE, DO NOT ASK FOR VIP TREATMENT UNLESS YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A JOKE.
