I have gone to both the Sacramento and Modesto, CA Elephant Bar a few times each through the years and have been overwhelmed by the barbque smell when I walk in the door. This is a total turn off to me and I can't say the the service has ever been acceptable. I do like the shrimp adventure platter and would order it each time I went. Shrimp is prepared three different ways and is laid out over rice and veggies. Can't tolerate the bbq smell though so haven't been in a few years.
I love the Elephant Bar. They have a wide variety of food and everything I have ever tried has been so tasty. The servers are all very professional at what they do and are always very friendly. I recommend the Elephant Bar to all our friends. Ask them about their VIP Safari club program and save 15% on lunch. Wonderful!!!
I love the Elephant Bar. When we go there we ask for Tammy...(she works lunches I think) She is great everytime. Our food is always hot and she can answer every question that I have ever asked. My husband and I love to bring the whole family when they are in town because we know that we always are going to walk out happy after a great lunch at the elephant bar.
I ate here last week, while on a low carb diet. I had the miso salmon, sans miso. I let my waiter know of my diet, and he not only insured me he would be careful what he served me, when the dish came to him with miso(carb filled sauce), he had them redo it. It didn't even come to the table. Good catch! Also, he didn't even ask if I wanted dessert. I love people like that PS. The house salad is fantastic.
elephant bar is a great place to eat..saw an ad for their restaurant and I thought I ask my husband to go try it...ended up to be more than just me n him...anywase took us about 25 mins for a table but the service was good..it was busy the night we went..but we got our orders n food pretty fast..didnt take like an hour for our food..so it was a good experience..two weeks later we went back with a new group of people..they liked it too...great service n food...
This is a very affordable yet elegant restaurant. The food is fabulous, the service terrific, and the atmosphere outstanding. I would suggest this place for anything from a formal dinner party to a family outing.
The atmosphere is great and the food is even better. I had a shrimp stir-fry dish that had tons of flavor and came to the table hot. The price was also very reasonable- for two dishes, drinks and tip it was only $25!! I will most deffinetly go back.
I work near the E-Bar and I have had multiple bad experiences at this place. If you enjoy having rude servers, an incompetent staff and waiter that treat you with contempt, than the E-Bar is your place, if you like good service and food, try Cheesecake Factory.
Here's what happened the first time: I get the bill, and they erroneously charged stuff I didn't order on my credit card and refused to take them off.
2nd time: Wrong order.
3rd time: My waiter left and no one brought my bill.
Who runs this place? Terrible.
