Phaya Thai Restaurant, Sacramento

A staple in my life for the past 10 years at least, Forbidden City II has always been a place for great food at a good price and plenty to take home after your done. The one item that I continue to go back for is their Won Ton soup, its to die for. Huge Won Tons, plenty of slices of ham, water chestnuts, and other vegetables and with copious amounts of steamed rice, this is my comfort food. All of the other items on the menu like their Lemon Chicken, Fried Prawns, Beef Broccoli, General Chicken along with others are served in great portions, delicious, very filling, and the price is very reasonable. The ambiance is very low key, quiet and enjoyable. If you are looking for a nice place for a candlelight experience without the candle this is it. Probably a great place for a first date. Currently this is the only location as their location on Madison is currently closed. Parking is good and getting to the restaurant off of either Eastern or Marconi is pretty easy. Getting take out might be a little bit of a wait but well worth it when you open it up at home. Overall this is one of my favorite experiences in Sacramento and provides some of the best Chinese food in the area. Go and try it. You will like it.

This place is Great and I enjoy it everytime I go. Was originally Forbidden City but now they have Thai also. You can't go wrong.... Is a little pricey....

I go to this place often only to get the Pad Thai, which is alright, its not the best, but it has a different taste which i like. I recently tried food from the Chinese menu and was very disappointed; the house chow fun and the fried crab won tons. The chow fun was very greasy and had no flavor, i almost went back to the restaurant to take it back, but of course it was take out and i was too lazy.

go order thai at this place!! chinese i dont know never tried, but it a thai place, its hella good
