welcome to Bandera a tight knit group of restaurants united under a banner of casual sophistication & quality service. Neighborhood rule with Bandera & so does food which tastes good. We are located in Chicago, Scottsdale, Sacramento, corona del mar, & brentwood.
We use to visit often (once a week or more) and recommend to everyone, then they changed Thursday nights to wine only, then you cant wear a baseball cap (if youre a gentleman-women are fine-GO FIGURE) and now gentleman are not allowed to wear non-sleeve shirts of any kind (even nice ones!) Soooooo since we never know if we can actually pass the dress code we will not be back and advise everyone of the constant change in attire (even though nothing is posted?) GOOD LUCK
Our recent visit at Bandera was an awful experience, the only exception being the delicious food. The server was very rude, and the manager was unbelievebly tacky and offensive. I will NOT return to this restaurant in the future.
Reservations recommended as this place is VERY crowded, especially on weekends. The menu is ala carte, which is slightly annoying, but overall, the food is wonderful. The service was excellent! I had the house salad which was great, different than other restaurants. Their steak is to die for, especially the Hawaiian Ribeye. My 4-year old son even enjoyed it. I have been back several times and it was always good.
the atmosphere is sophisticated, lively, and modern, a bit noisy but not the point of yelling across the table. there are no tables, only booths, the wine list is nothing spectacular but hardly crude. to be honest it's a bit of a bargain, but not cheap. the quality of the food is very good, i started with a chicken caesar that was about as good as any i've ever had then moved on a to plate of pork tenderloin which was done perfectly. it's one of the best deals in sacramento for fine dining, and i highly reccomend it. reservations are certainly a must if you expect to get a table on thursday friday or saturday nightsm as is the case with any new and renowned dining experience in this town.
