Tokyo Fros Happy Hour, is best on Saturdays! We like to watch football and eat great sushi for half the price....love the Fros!
Passion of Rice roll and the Pesto Ahi and the crab won tons are elegant!
I ordered the Godzilla which was suppose to have cream cheese on the inside the roll. But, NO they spread the cream cheese on the outside of each slice within the roll..yuck!! It was very messy and unattractive. I thought Japanese food was suppose to be decorative and appealing to the eye before eating. I didn't eat it and my other roll wasn't much to brag about. I'll drive 30 miles in the opposite direction to get great sushi. I will never go Tokyo Fro's again.
My girlfriend and I have been to this place several times. Only one time did we recieve excellent service from our server. Almost everytime we eat there, it takes a really long time to get our food. This would be excusable if the place was packed, but it usually isn't that full. One time our waitress forgot an order of Hamachi Nigiri all-together and didn't even bother to apologize or offer to compensate for it. This was astounding to us, especially after asking about the order 3 times. I had to ask her to take it off the bill which she finally agreed to do.
We went there last night with a friend. They brought our food out at separate times so my friend was sitting there for a good 15 minutes awkwardly while we ate our food which was getting cold. Once again the server did not even bother to tell us how long it would be before his food would arrive. There's no excuse for this kind of service, or lack of.
Although I do like some of the food, most of it is just fancy California rolls, it's just not worth it anymore. Consider firing your staff Fro, or doing something drastic to improve your customer service.
I visited Tokyo Fro's for the first time and was surprised by the delightfully prepared dishes. The restaurant itself is small and the sushi chefs wern't Japanese, but the sushi was superb. I especially enjoyed the fried calamari.
This restaurant has been fairly popular with the young crowd during this whole sushi trend. The waitresses are attractive, there is live music a few days a week, and a full bar to complement the menu. I would recommend this place for anyone who hasn't tried sushi before, as the menu contains some very americanized dishes. The atmosphere can be somewhat noisy when the music is playing which gives the restaurant somewhat of a bar feel to it. Overall, I enjoyed the experience and had a great time!
