This is my 4th visit to this establishment. Each time I have been seems to be less and less appealing. Today's visit was probably the last. Some of our food was cold. Some was not so good. The waitresses that push the carts around speak extremely poor English - FOB? Anyway, I think I am done here. Gotta find a new dim sum house.
I USE TO BE A REGULAR CUSTOMER HERE, BUT NOT ANYMORE!!!
BAD FOOD, BAD SERVICE, DIRTY GLASSES AND UTENSILS WERE JUST A FEW THINGS THAT WENT WRONG WITH MY RECENT EXPERIENCE HERE. WHERE IS CONRAD? THE NEW OWNERS NEED HELP!!!
my family and i go there quite often. their food isn't that good compare to the chinese food in the bay area, but in sacramento, it's not bad.
we go there so much that we know the managers and owners there.
however, our recent experience, has made me not wanting to go back there anymore.
they have no business ethics at all! we ordered a live huge fish. not only they didn't give us the whole fish (they used 3 different way to cook the fish, and the quantity of each dish was quite small), but they also switched parts from another fish that was cooked a while ago. we told them that's not our fish, and some parts and meat are missing. they insisted that it's the entire fish. yah rite! they treated us like it was our first time eating fish. during our dinner, we were quite unhappy. then when we asked for the cheque, the total was incorrect. they added $12 extra to our bill. they said since we cooked the fish in 3 different ways, they have to charge us extra. however, they didn't mention that when we ordered.
1/3 of our fish was gone and they dared to charge us extra?!!
they are not honest. i'm telling all of the people i know not to go there.
I'm from out of town. We, the whole family, went there on a Sunday afternoon at 2:30pm for the first time. I knew it will stop serve lunch at 3:00pm, but still went because it was recommended by a friend in local. The place was not busy at all, but service was slow. One of the dim sum plate even have hairs in it. Could not order too many dim sum because kitchen is about to close. But no one even explain to us about it. Will not go there again.
It was ok. Just too packed! The cart ladies would speak cantonese to me, which I totally don't understand!! I'm Lao and I don't look Chinese. They had a variety of dim sum but the same ones kept coming around. The service was bad, we were waiting for more water, by the time someone got to us we we ready to go.
I brought my girlfriend here for dinner on a Saturday evening. She grew up in HK and currently lives in SF bay area. She was amazed that such a quality HK style restaurant existed in Sacramento. We ordered steamed fish, bean curd with salted fish in a clay pot, stir fry greens w/garlic and a soup. The food was fresh, delicious and authentic. However, with quality comes high price especially with ordering fresh seafood. Parking is also limited.
I don't think it's the best of Sacramento, but it's one of my favorite places to go for Dim Sum. Though their service is decent, the food is delicious. There is limited parking, so make sure you find a good spot. The prices are not bad very affordable.
This is the first time I've had Dim Sum in a while, and my first time eating it in Sacramento. It was a good place, though. We went on a Sunday, and the wait wasn't very long even though we were quoted longer. The food was great. Can't wait to go back there! It's not a fancy shmancy place, though, but it's not dirty. It's a nice place to get a quick lunch.
