Esquire Grill, Sacramento

After reading other reviews, my expectations weren't terribly high, but the Esquire easily exceeded them. The staff were very friendly and professional, and the food was magnificent; simple things (sashimi, crab cakes, steak, macaroni and cheese) done very well. The bartender makes a fantastic lemon drop as well. Don't miss it!

I agee, hit or miss. We have had very poor service in there when we had reservations and had to be at a show. It is nice to be paced, but not where you start thinking where's our food? Much better service and food than Spataro's around the corner. That place is nightmare.

The food is sooooo good! Drinks, Great! The ambiance is so relaxing.

To be totally honest I have only gone to the Esquire Grill once but that one time has left a lasting impression on me. The Esquire Grill is location at the end of K Str. across from the Convention Ctr. The first thing I noticed about the place was the ambiance. I was on a date and the mood that was set by the lighting was perfect. It's fairly soft but not to soft should you be there just to relax or just to have dinner. Althoguth it was a bit noisey for a date spot. They do have a beautiful bar fully stocked. The food was great, the service was outstanding, and the value was adequate. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience. I am definitely planning on going again.
