Vinces Ristorante, West Sacramento

Had a family gathering last night at Vince's. 14 total at our table. We had terrible service. The waitress was not helpful or friendly, in fact she almost could have stood at the end of the table and tossed us our food. One person didn't get her salad until everyone else was about done with theirs. I finally got my soup about 20 minutes after everyone else (after asking about it 2 times). Another ordered mushrooms with their steak and never got them. She did offer to take the mushrooms off the bill..(ok..I guess that would be a nice thing to do). The steaks were good and everyone liked the minestrone and clam chowder soups. After all the problems with the service when we received the tickets (we had them broken down into 3 tickets ) found that the gratuity (18%) had already been added. We were told that because we had a party over 10 it was the policy of the establishment...even though there was only 4 or 5 per ticket??? Now...I don't think 18 or 20% tip is too much if you have great service, but alas this was not the case. I for one will not be rushing back to Vince's in the near future!

I hadn't eaten at Vince's for at least 20 years. Had a great baked ravioli lunch special for only $8.95. Large portion, very tasty & covered with a load of melted cheese. Served with a piping hot mini bread loaf & butter and a small salad. Fast, friendly & efficient waitress. It definitely won't be 20 years before I return.

NEW OWNERS & WOW!You owe it to yourself to try this now. Its the same homey and friendly atmosphere,but this has turnerd into a hidden treasure and its a gem. We had the steak and pasta dinner. It was a wonderful value at thirteen dollars. More important, it was GOOD!Steak, Pasta with wonderful meat sauce, cold salad with scratch dressing and even desert. Good Bye Phesant Club.

An old restaurant that has its street and business hookers working the room. Moldy, smelly, and old.

I like this restaurant. The price is very good and you get a lot for what you pay. The exterior of the restaurant can be improved, but the food inside is pretty good. I've been there a couple of times and I haven't been disappointed.

I can't believe some of these reviews. I went to this place once and will never go back. I am Italian, I am from the East Coast and this is one of the worse Italian places I have ever been.

Ive been to Italy, and frankly I'll take Vinces over any place I ate in Europe. It is authentic but adjusted to the American taste. The proportions are generous and I've never been disappointed, we go there all the time for the food. It's like going to a 1950's restaurant, without todays riff-raff. If your a fan of Italian culture......don't miss this place!!! Don't worry if your not Italian, they'll welcome you and make you feel like you are.

iS VERY GOOD, BUT NOT GREAT, SERVICE WAS GOOD. STEAK SAN IS GOOD. SAUCES ARE NOT AS TASTY AS SOME OTHER PLACES IN TOWN.

Vince's is cool because the food taste's great and the environment is great. It has an italian mafia ambiance thing and it is really great...check em out next time u r in West Sac.

We were seated right away. The server was generous and helpful. Most meals come with a soup or salad AND ice cream for dessert. Whole meal for two on average is about $30. Personally, I didn't like the pasta. I should try the steak sandwich next time.
