Ludy's Main Street BBQ
This place is a meat lover's paradise. The dining room has a western feel with shiny watering troughs, refurbished hog scalding kettles and cowboy equipment such as ropes. Although the decor is interesting the focus is on food. If it is cooked on a barbecue, it is on the menu. Barbecue chicken, pork ribs, beef ribs, baby back ribs and house beans are the specialty. The barbecue sauce is a carefully guarded secret. Outside to the rear is an interesting patio dining area complete with a wooden bridge.
You are being unfair to Paul he has contribute's as much as he can whenever he can. His business is not a hobby, just maybe he is cutting back on donations like everyone else in town. Chill out give the guy a chance.
I love to eat at Ludy's! We had a Surprise Party there for my mom earlier this year and it was wonderful. She was sooo Suprised. The food was delicious :o) And they even event as far as to put up balloons for us. I would recommend them to anyone! ... The Tri-Tip is my FAVORITE, but the ribs are my close second.
Had a combo chicken & pork ribs plate with fries, beans & a cornbread muffin. Some of the rib meat was a little chewy. The chicken was fine, the fries & beans OK & the cornbread average. Extra BBQ sauce was available in both mild & slightly spicy. Fast, friendly service. Overall, OK. Not great.
i love Lude's and so do my three lil carnivore's. this is a place where one combo plate can feed up to three people. and the the draft beer or ale of your choice is cold going down. great staff, always ready to please.
some of the best bbq around.
The people that gave this place 5 stars must have never been to another bbq place. I have had Ludy's twice, one was for lunch and once we had dinner delivered. The lunch (tri-tip sandwich and salad) was mediocre at best but the service was very friendly although slow but that was excusable because the place was so packed. The delivered dinner was downright awful. The ribs tasted like something that had been sitting under a hometown buffet heat lamp for about 3 days and the chicken was dry as hell. The veggies were so soggy they wouldn't even stay on the fork and the beans were completely flavorless. I did like the cornbread muffins though. I'm sure if we had eaten at the restaurant rather than having it delivered it would have been a little better but nowhere near the ridiculous prices they charge. I may give this place one more shot because I really like bbq but as of now I would say to find someplace else.
I cant believe the reviews posted here. I have lived in Woodland since Ludy's opened. It was good then.
Now the food is bland, ribs usually cold and dry..chicken is dry...
Staff is friendly and service OK..but 5 of the last 6 times I have gone the food was edible to bad.
Not.... I repeat NOT Woodlands #1 restaurant by a long shot!
