I love shrimp, but their coconut shrimp was off the hook!!! I could seriously eat my wiehgt in it. It's so much fun to go and participate with the wait staff when the break out in a song and dance. Just a great place to to have fun, let your hair down, and chow down on some great sea food!!
This place was bad, my husband and i went for lunch. First of all the view of the river was taken away by the bird poo right in front of your window, (i'm sure it can be cleaned) our waitress stayed chatting with some guy at the bar and someone else brought our drinks, his food did'nt come with everything. We both ordered the fish platter, i think the fish was a generic talapia which is gross and smells moldy in a cornmeal batter, not even cod, the scallops were the size of marbles instead of quarters like they should be,the clam was tough,we orderd lobster dip and it was crawfish, which is fine, but don't advertise lobster, the bananas foster isnt what you think, cold bananas wrapped in a crepe, wtf... this was a monday with about 10 ppl inside i cant imagine how they would handle a larger crowd and the menu seems missleading. If you are thinking of going be advised this many bad reviews can't be wrong.
Joe's was not worth the wait or the money. My husband and I each had an entree with our total bill being over $50. (Neither of us had a cocktail) With so many other great restaurants in Sac, eat elsewhere.
I TOOK MY WIFE HERE A TIME AGO AND WE ORDERED THEIR SMOKED BBQ CRAB. WHAT A JOKE!! WE PAID FOR VERY COLD CRAB LEGS AND ALITTLE AMOUNT OF POTAOTES AND THE WORSE COLESLAW WE HAVE EVER EATEN. WE SMALL PEOPLE AND HAD TO EAT AT ANOTHER PLACE RIGHT AFTER WE ATE HERE!!
This was our first time to Old Sacramento and we had a great time. The restaurant has a great view of the river and the food was very tasty. The only disappointment was the fruit salad which was not fresh but our 6 year old did not mind.
