Whitey's Jolly Kone, West Sacramento

Whitey's Jolly Kone is a West Sacramento institution. It has a wide variety of food for very reasonable prices. The Whitey's Special is a bargain for a quarter pound burger with cheese, bacon, and all the usualy fixings for only a few bucks. One of the highlights of Whiteys are its shakes. While they have the standard fare, chocolate, vanilla, etc. what makes it stand out are the fruit shakes that use fresh, local produce to make excellent shakes. Numerous people, my wife included, love the choclate banana, while I love their Peach shakes (only avalable in the summer). There isn't much seating available, and during the lunch and dinner rushes there can be a rather long wait since they cook to order and are rather popular. So once you get a feel for their menu, call it in for take out. The service is very friendly and they remember their regular customers to the point of almost being family.
