Los Hermanos, Pollock Pines

This place was great 4-5 years ago. I pass through on my way to Tahoe about every 3 months just to see if it's gotten better and stopped last winter 2007 because it never improved. The floors are filthy, the staff seems to be goofing off the whole time. The food's good, but that doesn't help much when you look at the floors and the bathrooms, kind of makes you want to loose your appetite. Try at your own risk! Dave

This is one of the best restaurants in the county. Excellent food and service. Prices very reasonable but like everything else prices have been increased only slightly. A favorite eating spot for sure.

I went with my mom and dad for lunch and it was pretty slow. We had to bus and clear our own table. Then we had to wait 10 minutes to get our menus from the waitress that was to busy flirting with an associate that was in the doorway to what I assume was the kitchen. A group of people walked in and we had to go to the bar and ask for a towel to help that group clear their table too. After another 10 minutes passed without service we walked up to the bar and ordered our drinks from the bartender. The waitress came by and tried to take the drink order for the group that came in after we did. Then the waitress realized that neither us, nor the group had silverware. She walked away while the group was placing their drink order and got napkins and silverware. The waitress came to our table to take our food order first then went back to the groups table to give them menus and take the drink order. She walked back to the kitchen door and talked on her cell phone for a few minutes then continued flirting with her associate. The group got mad and went to the bar to get their drinks. After 15 minutes, the waitress finally came back and took the groups order and didn't offer to get any refills. About 20 minutes later (40 minutes after placing our order) my mom got up and walked over to the waitress and asked about our food. The waitress said she was waiting for all 3 of ours plates to be cooked. A few minutes later she brings out our plate (1 by 1) to our table and we start to eat. The food was sitting under the heat lamp for so long that the outside was burnt/crisp but the inside was cold. At this point we finally asked for a manager and another 10 minutes later a man walks up to our table. We tell him everything I just described above and he apologizes profusely and tells us that our meal is complimentary (not that we ate any of it anyways!). We paid for our drinks and tipped the bartender and walked out. I will NEVER step foot in this establishment again! ENVIRONMENT:DIRTY SERVICE:POOR PRICE: EXPENSIVE FOOD: BELOW AVERAGE

One of the most over priced mexican food restraunts there is. Long wait on weekends. Food sucks... drinks too expensive and most locals do not go there.

We won't be goig here again.The food was cold by the time the finally brought it to us.The place only had one other table so it's not like the were busy.I had water because last time the sodas were $3.75 and I never finish mine.They had new menus so I'm sure the prices went up again.FOOD:mediocre(at best)SERVICE:what service?NOPE,not again.

I absolutely LOVE their flour chips, they are to die for. The rest of their food is pretty good too.

Excellent drinks. Prices have come down recently, which is good. Great music on the weekends. If you're passing through to Tahoe and stuck in the snow, this is a good place to defrost and relax! Come see the Nemo and Dorrie fish!
