I dont really know what the hype on these guys is about..I'd guess its because of it's nostalgic history and perceived (yes perceived) quality image.
My opinion is the burgers are small..the service long and the wait in drivethru is terrible..it's should be called in and in...cause of the wait time.
If you try to call a location the number is unpublished. That means caling the number on your phone book (800 #) will give you a call center
in Irvine where a lady will tell you that you can't call a location, good luck calling your local to place a quickie order or to talk to the manager.
If you want a good burger stay home and make a good one on your grill.
I would definitely consider moving way out in the middle of nowhere to Placerville if they had an IN-N-OUT Burger stand. These are absolutely the tastiest burgers and fries in the world. The ingredients are so fresh, the service is very polite, they speak clear english, all employees are Americans of legal citizenship. Every restaurant burger stand and its facilities are kept sparkling clean. You'll think you stepped back in time to the 1950's. Since it's privately owned, this burger business is run with pride is 100% American and Christian!
