Pfchang's China Bistro, Roseville

To me this place is a nice restaurant wanna-be. The food is good, the atmosphere is lightly amusing, the help usually stinks.

Changs has wonderful Asian Food.A good variety,friendly service,a bar with creative flare(especially the Martini's).Median+ priced.

We went to this restaurant and really enjoyed the food and our server, Jen, made the evening even more enjoyable. She modified the menu items to satisfy our kids' tastes and really took the extra steps necessary to make for a great experience.

My husband and I love PF Chang's. I love their moderinized asian dishes as much as the atmosphere and great service. A Perfect 5 stars!

Having worked at a chinese food kiosk in Market Square years ago, and a lover of chinese food, I've had LOTS in my time. PF Changs is the best I've come across!! The menu variety is great!! Two appetizers I totally recommend are the Lettuce Wraps and the Salt/Pepper Calamari. Either of these really are good enough as a meal, but you really better save some room for the main entrees. The Double pan-fried noodles top the list. It's chow mein, with your standard medley of veggies and meats, but what makes it special is the texture. You get your soft noodles, but oh wait...they're kinda crispy too. Fabulous!! :) The Crispy Honey Shrimp is great too! This might be my favorite seafood dish there. It's not a hard fried dish...They're lightly batterdipped and quick fried. So a bit soft. And the sauce is great too. There's really too much I can write about em. The service is great too actually Everyone is friendly, clean and professional. The atmosphere is good too...but the Roseville location outshines downtown sac here tho. Roseville scores more points for parking and overall location. I've not sat 'upstairs' at the downtown spot, but Roseville is just more upscale looking, especially with it's chinese statues, plants etc. I've not needed reservations yet, as the wait has always been no more than 30 minutes. But most times, even early evening, have been easy getting a seat with less than a 5 minute wait. But dont let that fool ya...come nighttime, this place is hot! Check em out!!! They have a house wine I had the chance to try that I liked also, but dont remember the name of it.

I wish this was a great place to eat but its not. You're paying for atmosphere and the right to hang out with those who can't transition to real, authentic, Chinese cuisine. Food is overly salted in almost every case. If you want your weekly dose of salt in one sitting this place is for you. Salt is used in lieu of real flavors and true culinary skill. Excessive use of corn starch in soups (and salt of course). Soups like hot and sour come out more like a gelatinous mass. Most of the appetizers are completely generic American food with a bunch of what is perceived as Asian flavors. Excessive use of oil and deep frying. Dishes that are suppose to be subtle are oily. You can taste the oil now and feel it later. Chinese food for those who don't know good Chinese food. Compared to an average restaurant in San Francisco, Hong Kong, Singapore, Hawaii PF Chang's would not even get one star. There are many other options, I suggest you try one. Perhaps Kings in West Sacramento.

The desert they give you for your birthday is outstanding. A huge dip of Icecream with a deep fried bananna. They put a candle on the top. It was a great surprise and treat following a wonderful meal.

Living about 5 minutes away, I have made PF Chang's the spot for me to meet out of town friends (telling them it is across from the mall is so much easier than directing them to my home in Rocklin). I have yet to hear anyone complain about the food, and yes, I always make them try the lettuce wraps. I like the bar, and the service is usually very good. I can only think of one time that it wasn't up the high standards I am so accustomed to recieving, and I did make mention of it and they ended up picking up the tab for a round of drinks. Which I really didn't expect nor desire them too Pros: Food, Drinks, Staff Cons: The lack of parking. Plan on getting there early on Saturday evenings or after 8:00, as they have to compete with 2 other resturant establishments for parking spaces
