As a connoisseur in fine wine, fine food, and fine women, I would definitely recommend this restaurant. The steak panini and tiramisu were very good, and service was above average. A great place to take someone for a special occasion, or go to if you got plenty of bank.
We've eaten several times at this Piatti, and the food has always been delicious. For our last dinner, my husband and I both started with the Caesar salad and had the seared ahi tuna (Tonno) with red wine risotto and cauliflower for our entrees. The Caesar was a perfect balance of crisp romano lettuce, delicate shavings of parmesan, and garlicky, creamy dressing. The ahi had been seared over mesquite wood and was the best I have ever had. It was fresh, perfectly seared, and had a wonderful smoky flavor I've never tasted in an ahi preparation before. I make my own risotto, so I am very critical of restaurant preparations, which tend to be mushy from holding the dish at temperature. The red wine risotto was freshly prepared and perfectly finished, although I would have preferred a bit more seasoning (perhaps some rosemary and a bit of parmesan.) For dessert, my husband had the chocolate gelato, which was creamy with a deep cocoa flavor. I had the Lemon Semifreddo, a sort of frozen lemon cream served with a raspberry sauce and fresh raspberries. It was excellent - creamy, tart and light - and the raspberry sauce and fresh berries were a superb contrast. The service was excellent. Our waiter was attentive and personable without being intrusive. We love this restaurant and plan to return often.
