My wife and I were celebrating our 27th anniversary at Outback for dinner. Have been there before on other occasions. This night my wife ordered Prime Rib, and I had Rib eye steak. The soup, hers and the salad, mine were outstanding. My rib eye perfect. Unfortunately the prime rib was tough as shoe leather. Dinner over waiter asks usual, how was dinner, wife told him everything great but her prime rib. Next thing we knew the owner Mr.Strothers came by apologing all over the place and in fact took the prime rib off the bill. We definetly will return.
CONSISTENT good food and service. Our steaks are always cooked perfectly and everything tastes TOO good. Dangerous place for dieters. Go for the filet, cheese and bacon fries and a tall Fosters. Totally yum every time.
I like the fact that all Outback's are predictable...right down to the generous booth seating. We went on a weeknight - party of 5..and the service was VERY slow. Long wait for the waitres to take our order...very long wait for the food. And, we had a hungry toddler with us & her food came out LAST. Either they were short staffed or the waitress was new because usually the service is pretty prompt. The food was very good - flavorful, hearty portions. Menu ranges from $12 (pasta)to $29 (seafood).
I've been here several times and I've never had a bad experience. Food is always good and drinks flowing. They have great appetizers and by the time you've finished with those you are too full for your actual dinner. I think the biggest wait outside of getting in, is of course for your alcoholic beverages. Since they come from the bar and with the bar being packed as well I think it takes a little longer. But they taste great once you get them. It is terrific that they now take reservations because it usually is too packed to wait. I much prefer this one over the one on Howe Ave.
