The food is great at Pluto's. The salads are delicious since you can select your own ingredients and top it with grilled meat if you choose. Your food is prepared in front of you, so the wait is usually very short even with a line. The one major problem is the noise level. It is hard to have conversation inside the restaraunt. On nice days the outside patio is a better choice, but seating can be hard to find. In all it is a great value and good food, but not a great place for a first date or to take the visiting UCD parents.
My girlfriend and I decided to stop by while I was visiting her at UC Davis and it was some of the best food I've ever had. She was equally impressed with the service and the taste. I had a flank steak salad and an appetizer for around 8 dollars and it was just delicious because of how crisp and fresh the vegetables were and how tender the steak was. I was expecting to pay upwards of 12 dollars for my meal and around 30 for both of us, including drinks. The total bill came to 21 dollars and it impressed me so much I can't wait to go back.
