Well we made the mistake of going on Cinco de mayo Sounded like the perfect place for the holiday right? WRONG!!!!! First off we got there and there was huge line, but thats to be expected. Well while in line they have an enclosed area so you can have a few drinks, and a live band. So heck why not wait it out enjoy the music and have a few drinks! We should have enjoyed the music, drinks and then left for pizza, but we decided to forge ahead and wait the 45 minutes in line for the meal. There were a total of 8 of us, 6 waiting in line, with two more on their way. Once the six of us finally made it inside and were seated, we got our chips, salsa, and of course a few more drinks and were waiting for the last two of the party to arrive. Well once they arrived they were told they had to wait in line (which is still at about 45 minutes). This seems kind of odd since the six of us are already seated and waiting for our other two people before we order. So, I do the reasonable thing and ask for a manager. Manager says sorry they have to wait. So I ask instead of letting our two friends inside and eating with us, which would allow a faster turnover on the table, in turn, letting more people in line into the restaurant, increasing profits for the restaurant, you, the manager, want to make our two friends wait in line for another 45 minutes? Yes, the manager decides its best to make our two friends wait in line, leaving us to wait at the table... For some odd reason we stuck it out and waited, but I wont be returning to the Hacienda anytime soon thanks to the good judgment and horrible customer service of the management! I'd like send a warm thanks to the manger for turning a fun festive evening into a miserable experience!
We have been going to the Hacienda for the past, at least ten years, the service has gone from a C+ to D-and get's worse everytime we visit there.
The waiter.waitreses are rude, short and very ineffecient.
The management seems to care, but it is difficult to file a complaint when ordering food and drinks.
We are all fearful of what will happen to the food and drinks that are sent back, what will the food/drinks contain.
The food and the drinks used to be the best, but now it appears that the patio is the only allure; too bad we have to order food and drinks from your combative and inadequate servers.
Help bring back the old Hacienda!
Went there for dinner ONCE and will never go back. The service was impersonable, slow, & unattentive. I have had Taco Bell food that has tasted better than what they served which was served cold to us, even after it was returned to the kitchen for warming. Also way over priced.
After a long labor day weekend we were invited to the Hacienda Del Rio. We probably wouldn’t have gone after reading the last 2 reviews, but friends invited us so we went. I found the food and service both to be top notch. I found the taste authentic, and good.
We had to travel about 24 mile round trip. We could have gotten very good Mexican food much closer, but we will definitely be back to visit the Hacienda Del Rio again, it was that good.
