I've never had sushi for a large portion of my life, because I'm not much of a fish eater. My friends took me to this place and at first I didn't like anything over time I finally found what I liked, and I don't think I'll ever find a place as great as this. I LOVED their red dragon rolls, sushi I've tried since I moved away just hasn't been as good. I also loved their fried california rolls which I can't seem to find anywhere else :(. Whats great to is their buffet meals also include all the other little things like spring rolls, wontons, soup, shrimp. This place was a really great all you can eat sushi place because I haven't found anything greater than this and I'm really going to miss it now that I've moved out of davis I just hope one day I'll find another place as great as juscos. The owners are wonderful and the old man that waits on you is adorable!! Wish juscos was all over california its definitely a great place :).
This is our favorite sushi place in Davis. We even moved away, now live in Carmichael, and still travel all the way back to Davis to eat here! The person who gave this a bad review obviously didn't eat here, as they don't have that lunch special, he/she's probably thinking of Fuji's across the street. Jusco has a great selection of tasty food for a great price, all you can eat for around $10 during lunch. They have the best miso soup and gold Kojicha tea around! The staff is awesome! It is across the street from Fuji's, which always has a line around the corner, I don't know why, that place's sushi made me gag, Jusco is certainly the better of the two, and I'm certainly hard to please when it comes to food. Definitely check it out!
My boyfriend and I have been going to Jusco for over a year now, and we think it's great! The service is always great and they remember our drink/fresh wasabi order (I usually request a straw and lime for my drink, and he likes freshly mixed wasabi). The older gentleman is always very polite and attentive, and when the owner is present he comes by and says hello.
We actually went to Jusco for lunch today and I LOVED IT! The sashimi we had (salmon and albacore tuna) was very fresh and is the best I've ever had. The sushi they serve is simple and tasty. We like the small portions, and my boyfriend really likes the hot food. Sometimes they also offer small deserts (during the summer they had green tea ice cream).
We like going Jusco and will definitely be back!
I can't believe that anyone would write a bad review about this place. Jusco is wonderful its a little little and not too fancy but who cares. the people are nice the service isn't bad and the food is delicious. My boyfriend and i go there at least once a month and we've never been treated poorly. Nor have we ever had bad service. If you're around and would like good sushi, friendly service and reasonably priced food I suggest going there.
We discovered this place by accident and am sure glad we did. The servive is great! The food is even better. Yes the place is a hole in the wall and you got to share the restroom with a bar next door, you don't go there for that. You go for the food. The lady owner has been extremley nice to my kids everytime we have gone. I am saying go, in fact I am going tonight.
I was disappointed to see the bad review. I LOVE THIS PLACE!! Yeah its small and its dingy, but I believe that makes the ambiance awesome! The all you can eat buffet is awesome, fish is extremely fresh. The staff is wondeful as well. There is a particular old man that rushes to get our food. He is so sweet! I guess if you order something like salmon terriaki your not really there for the sushi anyways which probably is why they gave such a bad review. If your a good customer they give you a chewy delight at the end of the meal!!!
This fine dining establishment recently moved to its new, much larger downtown location across from the E Street Plaza. The
new space is easy on the eyes with beige and cream colors prominent in a grove of Grecian columns. ...
