Description

Visconti's Ristorante, afamily owned full service restaurant, has been in Folsom for the past 20 years (being founded in 1992), a place where we created memories with our friends and clients, where we raised our children and grandchildren and where we did our best to make you feel at home each time you came to visit.

Visconti’s is a wonderful, family run NON-CHAIN (yippee) Italian restaurant. The owner goes from table to table chatting with everyone….. The new location is wonderful; beautiful inside! A nice bar to sit and wait for your table or your take-out order as well. While the restaurant is busy due to its new prominent location, the quality of food and service hasn’t suffered. Everything I’ve ordered has been wonderful. Perfectly cooked pastas, fresh salads, excellent desserts. Excellent value, and experience at a very good price. It’s our favorite place to eat! I highly recommend it. Why go to a chain restaurant in the immediate area when you can experience a lovely evening at a family run biz?

Last Friday, My husband and I went to Visconti's for my birthday. This was our first visit. It is a beautiful place...very warm and relaxing. The service was what service should be...helpful but not overbearing. Our salads were pleasing to the eye as well as our tastbuds. The garlic bread was tasty and just enough. My husband had Spicy Rigatoni a la Vodka and I had Manacotti...both were delicious. We had a lovely, relaxing time. It was just right for the special occassion. Two suggestions: Our dinner coffee would have been better if it had been a served in a smaller cup....say 8 ounces or less and if it had been accompanied by cream (half and half) instead of the non-fat milk in the pitcher. That makes a big difference to coffee lovers.

What a disappointment! Soggy pizza. Bland pasta. Unimaginative salad. Good garlic bread though, I'll give them that. Not worth the money, for sure. You'd be better off at a chain. If you like having the owner come around and grin at you, shaking hands with customers like he's some sort of rock star, you might like this place. Personally, I'd prefer the owner look after the kitchen staff and get the food quality problems sorted out than disturb diners who came their to eat in peace.

The food here is amazing! I would certainly come back. If you are looking for good cheap Italian food this is the perfect place! Mr. and Mrs. Visconti are usually there themselves. And they walk around the place saying hello to everyone. They also have a full bar. I would definetly reccomend and come back to this place.

My wife an I would frequent this place once in a while and thought it to be pretty good, so I invited a coworker to go for lunch one day. Weordered the sausage sandwich special and asked for a plate of pasta on the side. We were told that it couldn't be ordered as a side dish that you would have to order a full course for pasta. What a lousy deal that turned out to be! If I were in business to take care of my cutomers I would certainly try my best to serve there wants and needs. I guess the owner has all the customers and money he will ever need so it's not that important. My opinion is that the food is good and the service stinks!

The best Italian food in Sac area. Could be refered to as a whole in the wall....looks are decieveing. the bread, awesome. the food itself even better topped off with homemade tirimisu. family owned and operared. love the feel. the owners are welcoming and greet each person. they are so funny. their daughter and son are servers, as well as one son the cook. fast, friendly, service, i know i will be going back for years to come.

We have eaten at Visconti's several times and have always enjoyed the food and the service. A female server (possible the owner's daughter) completely ruined our most recent visit. She was more concerned with visiting and socializing with her friends who were in the restaurant, than waiting on her customers. We were served our salads and then completely forgotten about. After waiting for well over a half and hour for our appetizer we asked another server to check on our meals. The mad scramble was then on because our server apparently never submitted our orders. The food might be good but we won't be returning anytime soon!

I visited Visconti's because many people said it was really good. I always hesitated because the place has lacey curtains and is run down. The food was good/not great. However the service by far was disappointing. Ask the server for recommendation, she said everything? no personality, took a long time for bill. The owner walked around tables to greet selected customers and it was obvious. Big mistake for a business owner....
