What an explosion of taste! The salsa bar is beyond delicious. I was invited by a friend and I will be returning with my family and friends. The mosaic art is impressive and fun to view. I ordered the popular #1 taco, enchilada plate. They offer a variety of meat selections. You can build your favorite dish. I highly recommend it.
The food here is very good, the atmosphere is... interesting. You will never eat in a restaurant with the same decor. The employees are very friendly and always smile. I bring people visiting from out of town and they always like it.
I have eaten a few years back. Their prices have jumped significantly. If you want to gain weight this is the place to do it. It will MAKE YOU FAT!!!! But I think there are better choices in town that maybe a bit more healthy. Watch out during the summer the flies will carry off your food in this place.
My wife turned me onto this place a few years back. To me, the best traditional Mexican restaurant in Sacramento (one of my two favorite places, the other being Adelbertos). The food is great. The ambience is homey and traditional. The prices are just right. And the portions are more than enough to feed the biggest of eaters. If you want traditional Mexican, look no further. If you want trendy, look further. This is a great place to enjoy authentic Mexican food and a good beer. Sit at a table and spend time with the fellow locals. You can't go wrong.
The food and mosics are awesome! I've had lots of mexican food, but this Salsa Bar is unlike anything I have ever seen. Most resturants have 2 maybe 3 choices in salsa this one has at least 8 different salsas! mix and match get as much as you want. The carnitas were fresh, tender, and flavorful. They've been in business over 25 years and I am definately going back!
I have just moved to West Sacramento from Illinois, and I was feeling a little blue until I found this wonderful little place around the corner from my apartment. They have a number of vegetarian options, the vegetarian burrito I had was fabulous and the place is really cute. The ladies that work there are really kind and it has a family restaurant atmosphere. The neighborhood is a little downtrodden, but this little restaurant made me feel quite safe and I was so happy to have found it. The building is really colorful. The food is affordable, one person can eat really well for under $10.
