La Bou is a long-time favorite of mine. La Bou offers mostly breakfast and lunch food. For breakfast, you will find pastries, croissants (excellent), muffins, and cookies (NOT RECOMMENDED!!! VERY DRY!).
For lunch, they have sandwiches made to order, offered on a wide variety of breads. You can get a panini sandwich, or one on sourdough, wheat, white bread, baguette, etc. Some of their sandwiches include turkey panini, roast beef with carmelized onions, club sandwich, and herb roasted chicken. The sandwiches are very filling and are offered in full or half size.
La Bou offers a nice variety of salads--some include asian chicken, caesar (excellent, and VERY highly recommended--with or without chicken), garden, asian noodle, and sweet basil pasta with turkey.
In additon, La Bou has a fair selection of soups--their country potato soup with bacon is okay (although not as good as that of sandwich shop competitor Togo's). They have a soup of the day, and some of them include minestrone, roasted butternut squash, spicy thai chicken, beef chili, and clam chowder. You can also purchase breakfast beverages at La Bou, including iced coffee, tea, lattes, and mochas.
Some rare locations offer a drive through service, but for the rest of them you have to come in to order, and their lines get very long. If you go here for lunch, plan on it taking a while. The food is good, but the prices are rather high, so don't plan on coming here every day--most people can't afford it. However, La Bou is a nice alternative to the artery-clogging fried fast food of most other places. Also, don't expect the service to be great.
