Some of the food we ordered was great but the others were so,so. We were disappointed with the lamb. It was all they had for their specialty menu (hoping for some venison) and for the price, I would not order it again. I always try to compare my lamb chops to that from Outback which is to die for. The seared ahi tuna was cooked perfectly and the wasabi sauce was so awesome. Presentation-wise, it was beautiful. The kobe rib-eye was perfectly cooked and very tender. The price was just right too. Overall, I want to go back again and try the other dishes on the menu.
Still the worst service and attitude. Wife and i live here in windsor and went there 10 yrs ago and had a real bad experience with service and food and never went back. Well, we figured now that Guy is a big shot he would make sure his restaurants are top notice so we decided to get some pasta yesterday. .....MISTAKE!!!!
The service was abysmal and the staff uppity. My drink came pretty quick but wife's came after about 20 minutes during our meal (after complaining), flys were buzzing our food and walking on our water glasses, water glasses were never refilled, bread never refilled (even after dinner came), venues were left on the table (huge ones that took up half the eating area), never clean the table of dishes (but brought the bill and walked off). Pretty bad showing....I talked with couple next to us and they said it is pretty much like this always since they have been coming...3 times in 5 months. Said they werent coming again though.
I complained to the manager before leaving and he said he was shocked at my remarks of his service but was concerned about my never coming back and offered me a free meal which didnt fly with me. I told him if you want my business give me good food and good service at a fair price and I will be there a lot.
He to me to go on the Johnny Garlic web site and submit a complaint but there is no place on it to do so ......gee, why would big shot Johnny (whos reputation is his restaurants and profession) want to know about any complaints???
He may be a big star but this restaurants a Big Flop!
i'am looking for something lower then one star.
The only thing Positive about our Valentine day dinner that made the resturant Tolerable was the service, It was sad that our waitress spent most of her time apologizing for the food. I would like to recommend this “Restaurant “for those with constipation issues.(Enough said) .
This place is a bit over rated. the food is kind of expensive and not all that tasty. I heard that they do not support local farms and that they get their produce and meats from outside the area. With the way things are now aday's the closer your food is raised the better and I'm all for supporting local bussiness that support local farmers. Count me out Johny G's.
Today we ate at Johnny Garlic's in Windosr for lunch. My husband ordered a Chicken Creole wrap with garlic chips and a beer, and I ordered the Beef Fajita Salad, with a glass of wine. It was wonderful food, very flavorful. Emily was our waitress, and we received very good service. We also used the restrooms, and they were very clean. The bill wasn't too pricey compared to what we spent in San Francisco yesterday. We got more food served at Johnny Garlic's than we did in San Francisco and for 1/2 the price. We plan to go back to Johnny Garlic's before we leave to travel back home (we're just visiting Windsor).
Great food, great service, great bar. Took our adult kids for dinner last week when they came home to visit. We all had something different and all loved every bit. Love the choices. Fair prices. Great place!!
