Dinner only house, right on the beach with prices to match. Ambiance is marginal. Food about the same. Staff-owners, not sure which, a bit out of sorts. Too bad, this area could use an upscale dinner place. This is not quite it, sadly. At half the price, I could almost tolerated it. And not being open for breakfast or even lunch...they still seem awfully disorganized.
The food is really good! If you can keep the owner from messing the cook up! :D The owner ( a man) is a reall a$$ but the cook makes the place! We gave the waiter over 80 dollars in tips on our two day visit. He must be very loylal to his boss because he told him everything! Food is good but owner needs some manors.
ohh the parmesan halibut is great.... Billy is an awesome waitress and the cook i give you props and my wifes steak she has been talking about it for the past 3 days!! thank you for giving us a window seat...it was truely romantic. i know i gave it 5 stars but its about a 4.5...
Simply amazing! The view is to die for. We had a party of 10 and everyone enjoyed their meals. Excellent steak and the coconut prawns are out of this world. Friendly staff the kept up with our need, great customer service. We will be back. Thank you Beachcomber.
The manager was rude rude rude. We wanted a window seat and he was mean and rude to the hostess for putting our name on a wait list and then personally gave me a hard time for not taking the table next to the waiting area which was open. There was a couple who had called in a reservation waiting for a window table and that was ok with the manager. We were not in a hurry and were willing to wait until a window table became available. This man should NOT have this job as he chased away a customer. I hope the owners read these reviews and do something about this. I talked with the staff and they said he was generally this way. Not good at any time and especially in a tourist town during a hardship economy.
Better than the first time...We didn't think it was possible, but we were blown away again!! What a find! Absolutely the best in our dining experiences! The food was amazing! Best steak I have ever eaten! The seafood was fresh and succlent! Great portions and friendly atmosphere! The decor was nautical and timeless. Time stood still was we watched a pod of whales breaching and spy-hopping out our ocean front window as the sun sat behind the lighthouse. It was like a scene from an old Spencer Tracy movie. After an AMAZING dinner we walked on the beach while the waves crashed at our feet! WOW! Don't miss this one, what a unique and wonderful experience!!
Great place to eat in Crescent City. Right on the beach, looks a little shabby on the outside. Try the Parmesan crusted halibut with coconut prawns it was awesome! Great White Beer is delicious too! Service was excellent. Thanks!
