Patrick Creek Lodge is a beautiful, historic site, with potential to once again become the delightful retreat that our family has been visiting for over 50 years. There are many of us hoping that a change of ownership will be happening in the near future, and some planning towards that end is currently in the works. I am so sorry to hear about customers being treated in this rude and inexcusable manner! I have many happy memories of dinners, reunions and celebrations at this unique site.
We have been coming here for over 4 years with no problems. However, after the change of ownership the quality has gone down. On our last trip there it was absoultely horrible! The waiter had to call the owner in at 7pm so he could get some help. The owner was drunk and yelled at the waiter for being overwhelmed. The food was taking longer than usual to arrive and our nearly two year old daughter began to get fussy. The owner walked up to our daughter and stuck her finger in her face and yelled at her to shut up or she's going to kick her out. That of course caused our daughter to break down into tears. Shockingy the owner put one hand behind out daughters head and the other over her mouth and screamed at her. We were so shocked we got up, left and called the police for her to be arrested. We had several other patrons who got up and left and many told us our children were well behaved. It is a shame because we will NEVER be going there again and it is a small town and word will travel fast!
We didn't spend the night so I cannot rate the rooms but the dining is exceptional. The service excellent. The lodge has many antiquities. The view of the creek and the ducks is soothing. I can't imagine anyone not enjoying this historical stop between Crescent City and Grants Pass.
