Don't go if you have over four people in your party. If you require the back room for a large party then you can't select off the regular menu, you get a short list and it's up to the chef what sides you get.
Our basket of rolls was stale and very hard.
They arranged the tables so there was no head table for the guests of honor, there for they were not treated like the main reason we were there in the first place. The worst I think is when the waitress was asked if the scampi came with a baked potato and I was told that I couldn't ask that. The chef will make that decision. Very expensive and so so food.
Decided on the Sea Grill for dinner the other night. The ambiance is nice (dimly lit). The staff was friendly and attentive. Ordered calamari (good), the Fisherman s Combo and the fish and chips. The food was okay , not anything I would consider fine dining (especially for that price). Prepare to spend about anywhere from $25-$38 per person for entrees (market price for regular sized lobster at this restaurant is $70! yikes). Desserts are around $6-8.
I have to say that this is one of the best places we have ever eaten at. We have travel all over and can say that the service and the food were great. The salad bar was loaded to the gills. We almost could not finish dinner. The portions we more than my wife could handle. They were happy to give us a travel box of the left overs. This will be on our hit list if we are in the area again. The place also has a full bar and made a great martini and have a full wine list. I have to say that the service was great also, they made you feel like life long friend. Enjoy I know we did.
My first experience with this restaurant was earlier this month and the occasion was our wedding anniversary. My wife and I wanted a restaurant with decent food and wine and a good atmosphere. We chose this restaurant because some friend had recently eaten there and enjoyed their meal. Prices were slightly higher than average for sea food but the selection was unsurpassed. Unfortunately, I found a very long hair threaded through a couple of pieces of fish on my plate and had to order a replacement. Oddly, I found that the staff’s only offer was for an apology and a replacement dish. When the check came I found that the total included my dish which I thought to be unusual. My recollection is that the standard protocol is “meal on the house” under such circumstances. Maybe that doesn’t apply any longer? Certainly, not at the Sea Grill. I can’t see myself going back.
I will say the Sea Grill is one of my favorite places to eat because their Crab Fettuccine is the best I ever had. Also, the service is great and the atmosphere is a not too fancy but very comfortable feeling.
I've had the best snapper ever here, and the most mediocre of halibuts. With all that range, I still really enjoy it here. A little loud in atmosphere, but comfortable and a great selection of fresh seafoods. Waiters always pleasant.
