Far East Cafe, Eureka

I'm going to be 60 next month and have eaten lots and lots of Chinese food and I have to say this place has the WORST Chinese food I've ever had in my life, sorry...it must have been taken right out of the can, no flavor, way too much salt, extremely greasy, I had to pick through the mounds of celery to find any meat at all, very cheaply made food, embarrassingly obvious how they s-t-r-e-t-c-h their food with low cost ingredients. Add to that a non smiling, rather rude owner/server, she treated us like cattle. When I took my money out at the table, to get ready to pay my bill, she was right there, like a vulture...took it and never brought back my change! She must have assumed the $5.00 leftover was her tip...I NEVER would have tipped her for that meal or service. Every other restaurant brings you your change and lets you decide what to leave. She decided for me. As I got up to leave, she was taking orders or I would have asked for my change. I decided I'd never go back anyway so that was my Bon Voyage gift. The final insult was when I got home and discovered that she had dumped all my leftovers in one box, chow mein, sweet and sour sauce, fried prawns, fried won ton, all together in a greasy, over salted, tasteless and now soggy mess. Terrible experience...DON'T GO!!!

Thanks everyone for all of your supports! By the way, this is one of the waitresses from the Far East; I'm the smaller one. It's our top priority to do the best job in serving our custumers ensuring a wonderful time for them. Anyway, thanks for you guys' kind thoughts :)

The best egg foo yong ever, the sause is delicious and cooked to perfection, Lovely people, great prices and yummy food waiting for my takeout yum.

Best Chinese food in Humboldt County. They have fast, friendly service and very clean restaurant. Their meals are huge and its at good prices. I'll definitely go there again!

Best Chinese food in town! The owners are very nice and we know them for a really long time. They been in business for 15+ years as far as I know, but they have recently switch owners a few weeks ago. They still have great chinese food, in fact I think they have improved. But the food seemed slow, maybe because they just opened recently and rearranged everything.
