It is really sad to see how they have let this establishment go completely down hill! The chair pads were VERY dirty....there were ants crawling all over the window sills....it looked like a Denny's inside....The food was over priced for what you get. Sodas are $2.50 and you don't get a refill.
Four years ago I had a delightful experience at the Cliff House. Wonderful service, fantastic food and outstanding romantic view. Saturday I arrived at 4:30 pm, so I could get a seat because from what I remember it was always very busy. Only a couple of tables had patrons. I was put in a corner starring at the grids of the bridge, all of the view tables were empty. I asked to be moved but the waitress ignored my request. Sitting down I noticed the table was crawling with ants and the glass was not only dirty but chipped. As I left I noted they had only two reservatons one at 6 and one at 6:30. Very disappointed.
we travel all over the country. And we were floored by the quality of the seafood here. Absolutely the best we ever had. Fresh and more than enough to eat. Best clam chowder possibly any where. We ate here every night after trying others. Don't go anywhere else.
We ate at the Cliffhouse in San Francisco and just had to see how this one measured up. It was no comparison. The food was fine, but the waiter took away our food before we were done. I felt like we were in a cheesey casino in Vegas.
