The newest Union Hotel Restaurant is now open in East Santa Rosa. Come visit us at 280 Mission Blvd. Our new restaurant includes a full bar and a morning cafe. The Union Hotelac2s delicious homemade Italian pizzas can be enjoyed at the Union Hotel West in Santa Rosaac2s G & G Shopping Center, and at our Santa Rosa East Location on Mission Blvd. Our pizzeria use only fresh dough and sauces topped with garden vegetables, generous helpings of cheese and delicious meats. The Union Hotel's spicy Italian sausage and creamy garlic sauce have quickly become classic house specialties. Our guests can also enjoy homemade ravioli, shrimp pasta, 24 oz. Porterhouse steaks and freshly baked desserts.
We had lunch yesterday at the Union Hotel Restaurant location on Mission Blvd. We had a very comfortable table for six. It was easy for our family gathering to visit with each other because of the quiet atmosphere. Everyone enjoyed their food, and I felt the food was reasonably priced. I had a great pizza which also ended up being my dinner last night. I would go there again and would tell my friends that it is a good place to go to.
New building, nice nuevo-Arts & crafts era architecture. Comfy booth seating. Food is carbon copy of their old time, 3rd family generation owned Union Hotel in woodsy Occidental. I had a BIG lunch. Mixed iceberg lettuce salad with canned kidney beans, carrot shavings, & creamy ranch dressing a la 1965. Giant hamburger on a cornmeal bun with all the fixin's costs $13. It's Harris ranch beef, way below Niman Ranch, but a lot better than McDoodle's. Bambie's Minestrone had fresh new potatoes & vegees, but institutional pasta shells. Broth was watery tomato & hint of beef. Really had a mass quantity construction & flavor. Boylan's soda's (I had to go to work after lunch). Pellegrino water by liter bottle. Decent NorCAL wine list. Decent mark-ups on beverages. Bakery out front, just like Mary Callendar's. I bought cookies. They are very good! Cakes looked yummy! Great food? No. Keep your cuisine expectations in check, (This ain't Gary Danko) you will have a good time here.
What a wonderful time we had at the Mission Blvd Union Hotel in Santa Rosa. Atmosphere and ambiance was comfy. We were brought bread which was soft, warm and tastey with the oil and vinegar. My husband ordered the porter house steak which they ran out (never had that happening), but our hostest brought us some complimentary bruschetta which was awesome good. We both ordered the NY steak and it was cooked to our order. Mash potatoes were fluffy and tasteful. Had Beer and wine. In the end our Hostest brought my Husband a dish of ice cream lightly covered with chocolate with a candle. It was his birthday. She took it upon herself to do this which was so thoughtful and added that extra touch. I like to rate restuarants not only on their food, but customer service, cleaniness and atmosphere. This is a place I will return to. Prior reviews stated this place was crowded. Our hostest had told us it gets crowded on Fridays, but Saturdays are the best days to come. As with any good restuarant, if it crowded then that should say something for itself. Also, they have a bar area where one can sit and watch sports which is slightly away from the dinning area. You can also eat in there. As you enter there is a counter where they sell coffee and goodies if that's all you are looking for. There seemed to be outside dinning but I loved the inside. Thank you to our hostest as we had a great time.
